The cookery group was formed in 2008 and hold meetings every month at a members house, where they exchange recipes and tips.

LATEST RECIPE
Almond & Jam Tarts
- 6 small deep shortcrust pastry cases (M&S)
- 1 egg
- 100g ground almonds
- 100g butter
- 90g caster sugar
- 1 orange
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract or paste
- Jam good quality jam
- Cream or crème fresh to serve
Put the cases on a baking tray (oven temperature should be 190C/375F/Gas5)
In a bowl mix together the ground almonds, caster sugar, butter, egg, vanilla extract and the grated zest of half an orange.
Put a teaspoon of jam into each pastry case, then a teaspoon of mixture, another teaspoon of jam and finally another teaspoon of mixture.
Put the tray on middle shelf and cook for 18 minutes exactly.
